Linear Burn – The Linear Burn Mode decreases the brightness of the base color which gives a darker result than Multiply but a less saturated one than Color Burn. Linear Burn also produces the most contrast in darker colors of any of the other Blending Modes in the Darker group Blending with white produces no change. Linear Dodge has the opposite result – it looks at the color information in each channel and brightens the base color to reflect the blend color by increasing the brightness and produce similar but stronger results than Screen or Color Dodge. Blending with black produces no change.
