Correct Colour Cast-Action & Macro – updated

correctionUpdated to add an Affinity Macro.

The download contains an Action, suitable for Photopea & Photoshop. There is also a download for an Affinity macro. Both use the average colour of an image as the basis for correcting any colour cast that may exist. The process is detailed is detailed in this post on our website.

The final correction layer is pre-set to the Blend Mode of Color and Opacity at 40%. However, although the Blend Mode must remain as set, the Opacity can be modified to taste.

To install

In Photoshop

The simplest way is just to double click on the Quick Colour Cast Correction.tan file which will launch Photoshop and install it without any further input.

Alternatively, if you already have Photoshop open, just drag and drop the file onto it, else

In Photopea

Drag and drop Quick Colour Cast Correction.atn onto Photopea work area, or

Main menu > File > Open > Quick Colour Cast Correction.atn

In Affinity

VIEW > STUDIO > LIBRARY

With the Library Panel open, go to the right-hand corner menu and select Import.

Locate Avg Color – Color Correction.afmacros in your filesystem and select.

Avg Color – Color Correction.afmacros should then appear in the Library Panel.
