Color Burn – The Color Burn Mode gives a darker result than Multiply by increasing the contrast between the base and the blend colors resulting in more saturated mid-tones and reduced highlights – similar to the effect you get when you ‘Burn’ an image. Blending with white produces no change. Color Dodge creates the opposite result – it creates a brighter effect than Screen by decreasing the contrast between the base and the blend colors, resulting in saturated mid-tones and blown highlights – similar to the effect you get when you ‘Dodge’ an image. Blending with black produces no change.
